I am soooo bummed I missed the benefit contest and event due to illness (came down with 1-2 of gastroenteritis and a cold to boot). I do hear despite the smaller surf, the event went off.

The event had a great turnout despite conditions.
I feel the people were there more for Dean than for the surf.
It was great to see such great support.
